How (better) Frames make healthy Windows

Updated: Oct 31, 2024

Why is condensation actually a problem (aside from the inconvenience and likely damage to the window)? After all we can dry it up with a sponge or sometimes it’s enough when we get up and turn on the heating, or the sun warms the window or perhaps we open the window to (hopefully) dry it out.

The reality is that often none of these things are consistently happening and even when they are the conditions we have with continual moisture and then warmth is great for allowing mould spores to germinate and thrive (whether this is visible or not).

Mould spores are airborne and can be toxic and you will be breathing them into your lungs. This is not good for anyone living in the building, the building should be supporting your health not harmful to it.
